About
The Full Story
I am an OTC candidate, proud wife and mom to three outstanding children. I have always been passionate about education and the well-being of children. As I go through this new chapter of becoming a teacher, I am grateful for my family and their support. I am currently a first-year OTC candidate at Niagara University. I feel so fortunate to be able to pursue this passion of mine, and I would love to share my learnings along this journey, including some exciting lessons, resources and tools.

I spent the first six years of my life growing up on Italy's Adriatic coast before moving to Canada on a very snowy day in December. Arriving as a newcomer to Canada was a challenging experience for a child. Still, I have become thankful for my experience because I believe it will help me as a teacher. My experience will always remind me of how vital safe and inclusive classrooms are for students to learn.
In my journey to becoming a teacher, I have deeply reflected on what it means to be a member of the teaching profession in Ontario. I understand that my beliefs and values as a primary/junior teacher will be an essential part of my teaching practice. Alongside the professional and ethical standards set by the Ontario College of Teachers, there are personal standards that will guide me on my journey as a teacher. The pillars of Respect, Integrity, Trust, Equity, Inclusion and Care will guide my practice, professional judgment and interest in developing a student's potential and well-being.
